Recently was the 15th anniversary of Amsterdam’s dance company ISH. This milestone was celebrated with the unveiling of a new logo under the watchful eye of performers and press. ISH is one of the most talked about urban dance groups from the Netherlands.

In late 1999, ISH was founded by Marco Gerris, also known as former judge of the hit television show “So You Think You Can Dance, “and now artistic director of ISH. From the first performance in 2000 ISH successfully aims to multidisciplinary dance performances that appeal to a broad and diverse audience. This includes a collaborations with the Dutch National Ballet acting upon Broadway, performing at Burning Man and TEDxAmsterdam.

There are more than forty productions that appeared on the Amsterdam’s dance company and they want at least another fifteen years to add to that.

“I am especially proud that ISH has grown at an artistic level and that is because I’ve been surrounded by the right people. “said Marco.

The past fifteen years ISH has brought kills from the street to the stage of countless theaters to take on the connection with the established art forms.

Marco featured on the new program ‘The Freestyle Games. from August 31st on BNN with Geraldine Kemper and Jan Versteegh, In this program they seek Dutch best skateboard king, free run hero, inline skater, breakdancer, BMX owner or freestyle footballer. In the fall of 2015, ISH will tour with FunkISH and Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the wardrobe, throughout the Netherlands.
