Step x Step would like your attention for an important event: On Friday November 14th miss Tania Diggory is proud to present the third edition of #PHDevent in London, lasting all through sunday! She has welcomed Brooklyn Terry, Mr Wiggles and Popin’ John today and kicked things off in style with a movie screening  of “A way of Life” + Q&A with director Shibe Alawiye and producer Andre Hopkin in the “Ritzy” Theater.

PHD will also feature two other documentaries by #KaizenPictures. A brand that produced multiple moving and immensely important films for our culture. This weekend you can see “Culture of Hope” + Q&A with Bboy MOUSE. In edition to that PHD will show “The Art Of Krump: Journey to Heaven featuring Tight Eyez & E.R.

 

 

PHD started in 2013 and as part of the INTERNATIONAL STREET DANCE FESTIVAL, it’s a well thought out event that celebrates and shares the true colors of Hip Hop Culture. Aimed at being “the first UK exhibition to explore the roots of street dancers from around the world featuring world class pioneers”. As stated on the official website, Tania only invites the best to share their knowledge in order to give attendees the opportunity to:

• “Explore movements, grooves and steps of original street dances from around the world…
• Learn correct dance vocabulary for Hip Hop, House, Popping, Boogaloo, Waving, Tutting and Top Rock…
• Gain a deeper understanding of musicality and how to freestyle with confidence…

Our pioneers will take you on an evolutionary journey of street dance through the ages. Discover the history behind the moves, how to make them your own and build confidence in your dance ability.”

PHD does European the steppers right all the way (!) by also serving a photography & art exhibition, movie screenings, performances, a seven 2 smoke battle, parties, panel discussion, a networking space and then some!
