The Grammys. The Emmys. The Oscars. All of these have something in common. Captain Obvious points out they are all some of the most prestigious award ceremonies in the world. The other is they all recognize choreography in music (music videos), television, and movies. So where can a street dancer get recognized without being in the Hollywood industry?
The answer is: Clutchfest! Set to take place at the Painted Bride in Philadelphia this Saturday, Kenny Clutch is more than out to have an award show and more about showing respect to dancers in the street dance styles. Breaking, Popping, Waacking, House, Flex, and All Styles Dancer of the Year awards are being presented to one winner in each of their respective categories.
A special tribute will be given to the late Marjory Smarth. Ladies of Hip Hop Festival in association with Clutchfest will honor the late dancer and incredible human being.
